Twin Cities Top 5 Dog-Friendly Spots

It’s FINALLY SUMMER 2021 and you’re going to want to know the Twin Cities top 5 dog-friendly spots!

With so many people spending more time at home during the pandemic, animal shelters across the country have experienced a surge in dog adoptions. According to The Washington Post citing data from the Shelter Animals Count, pet adoptions increased by about 15% in 2020 compared to 2019. While these pet owners had more time to spend with their new furry friends, they were limited as to where they could take them because of quarantine. When adopting a puppy in particular, socialization is key. On the positive side, a higher number of pups were welcomed into loving homes during the pandemic. However, they likely didn’t receive the recommended amount of socialization because of dog friendly public places shutting down like everywhere else to help prevent the spread of COVID.

Now that it’s Summer here in Minnesota and the vaccine has been around for months, the weather is beautiful and things have begun to open back up. Consequently, many of our dog friendly faves are back in action and ready to accommodate these quarantine dogs and their pet parents. As a team of pet-loving agents who love the communities we live and work in, we’re sharing a list, inspired by Sidewalk Dog, of our top 5 favorite furrr-tastic breweries and restaurants around the Twin Cities to help you and your pet get back into the world of socializing – ohh how it’s been missed!
