Drive Out Hunger Event, Minnesota Food Shelf March Campaign

Hunger in any community is hard to see, but it’s real, big or small etc.

The Real Estate Nation Team along with several others in our community (and hopefully yourself) will be participating and leading some fun in March to help Interfaith hit their fundraising goals!

Did you know that nearly half of those who go to Interfaith Outreach for the first time need food? The most vulnerable members of our community — seniors living on fixed incomes, families struggling to make ends meet, and children — too often miss meals. Interfaith has distributed 1 million pounds of food and household essentials last year, helping families stretch budgets and prevent hunger. While food might be the most urgent need, it’s usually not the only challenge our neighbors face.

Most needed items, published ICOP.com at the time of drafting this blog post include:

  • Cooking oil
  • Fresh produce (veggies, fruits and herbs)
  • Canned fruits and vegetables- Healthy snacks
  • Baby food or formula
  • Baby wipes
  • Paper towels
  • Feminine products
  • Toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, bar soap, deodorant)

Remember for every $1 donated Interfaith can source $9 worth of food.

Come to the event March 7th! Reach out to a Real Estate Nation Team member for more info or simply  RSVP and get your company involved too.
